The California Department of Public Health has announced that it will no longer seek to get all K–12 students vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend school as the state's COVID emergency is set to expire on February 28. Silver spoon Governor Gavin Newsom had previously signed an executive order in 2021 requiring all students to get the COVID-19 vaccine before they are allowed to enroll in public schools.
